We’ll, since it’s not stable yet, it’s not public, but, a salt-cloud-buildbot library is being cooked. Pretty similar to what you’ve done, but fully automated, no CLI hassle… Just the initial configuration effort(salt states, salt cloud configuration, etc)… once all that is done and proven working, let buildbot rule your tests on multiple machines at the same time!

Apologies for the late post. Between the holidays and me not being used to people asking questions, I missed this ; )

There aren’t plans to put it into the Percona Toolkit at present (at least as far as I know). However, we are merging it into the various Percona Server and Xtrabackup branches to serve as the main test runner as it allows us to do all kinds of things we haven’t been able to do before \o/

I do imagine this could be useful beyond just development purposes (eg write your own nice python unittests to test anything!!!), but the current focus is beefing up the testing of our various projects first.
